A great many things have passed since I last posted.
My wife has found her way into the tech industry and is flourishing. I'm so proud of her and love watching her really enjoy her work and the company of her co-workers.
I have switched jobs yet again. I'm now working over at OpenLaw. I'm having some trouble adjusting to the tech stack still (we've got a Scala based backend, and a flow-react front-end). I'm doing my best to adjust to both, the latter being much simpler for me since I'm mostly a front-end guy, but still finding myself struggling. The people at OpenLaw however, are great and it feels like a good culture fit for me.
I've started learning to play the Piano. I had this big ol' surprise I had thought of for my next anniversary but managed to expose my plan really early.
Speaking of — I booked a big trip to Bora Bora for my anniversary. This was essentially what I wanted to do for my honeymoon and it feels like about time I get to experience it. Granted, this won't be for months but I'm very excited all the same.
I purchased a card deck of sorts to try to keep myself writing blog posts more often. I'm getting used to the idea that it doesn't have to be great or interesting. It can (and should) be for me, so I can read back at what I've done and have an anchor to my emotions and experiences.
